Our Purpose The Ascot Project is
volunteer-led and exists to improve the quality of life of older people
in the Ascot area. It builds upon the excellent work that is already
in place from a wide range of voluntary organisations.
Our work programme for 2009. 1.
We will continue with our highly popular
weekly shopping trips. These provide a valuable support to
older people who would otherwise be unable to get to the shops.
Occasionally, we also run longer more sociable outings. Our minibus is
regularly full and we are now considering whether we can find the resources
and manpower to run more trips than are currently possible. For more

2. Golden Age VI will take place on 26th August 2009 at
the Pavilion at Ascot racecourse. This retirement fair, running for the
sixth year,
brings together local agencies that work with older people in the Ascot
area, providing information about health, wealth and fun for the over 50s.
